ABOUT
Angelo Caruana was born in March 1981, and lives at Żurrieq. His interest in photography goes back to 2005 when he acquired his first camera, a Canon Powershot A95, which he mostly used for family snapshots and for holiday pictures when abroad. This soon developed into a keener interest in photography.
He became a member of the Malta Photographic Society in 2007, “to interact with experienced photographers to help me learn more about photography and share ideas”. He enrolled for the “Starting Photography” course that same year and followed a “Photoshop for Beginners” and an advance Photoshop course a couple of years later.
He finds the Society an ideal place to interact with other photographers and to get constructive criticism about the work he displays there.
Angelo, like all photographers, is always on the lookout to capture that elusive moment that produces the memorable image that lasts forever. He prefers to photograph landscapes, portraits, model shoots, but his favourite subject is firework displays. For his photographic work he uses the latest Nikon equipment which gives him the best results possible.
During the last years he was engaged in various photo shoots, national and social events, seminars, TV programs and sports activities. This helped him to gain experience, especially when working in a team. Angelo intends to continue to develop his photographic skills and to be involved in new photographic experiences.
Angelo regularly participates in local photographic competitions submits with good results, and is looking forward to start submitting works to international salons.
